IELTS Speaking Section has three parts. Each part has its own characteristics. Knowing about each part's characteristics will help you do well during the speaking exam section.
Here is some information of characteristics of part 1.

Topic: Your Hometown
1. Where do you live?
2. Do you like the area you are living in now?

4. Do you have a lot of neighbors?

b. Prior to the exam, have a partner to practice conversation from many different topics.
c. Expand your response. Do not just give short answers. You need to show the examiner that you are in
control of the topic you are speaking.
d. If you do not understand the question, ask the examiner the meaning of the question.
e. Speak with confidence, good facial expression and establish eye contact.
f. Try not to be too nervous. If you have enough practice and you have been familiar with the topics and
sample questions of part 1 of IELTS Speaking Section, there is no need to worry so much.
